I quote overnight ratings as a rough and ready guide to a programme's immediate popularity. However, with the increasing use of online sources for the programme and significant number of viewers recording programmes, these can be misleading. Viewers may also wait for repeat showings of a series episode when it clashes with another popular show.
All-in-all we should not draw any particular conclusion from these ratings as when the final figures are totted up from all the available sources, they may show a very different position.
